KICKBOXING is one of the most exciting and effective ways for you to get physically fit. Did you know that over 800 calories are burned during a single one hour kickboxing class?

GET IN SHAPE! Kickboxing is a fun and fast way for you to get stronger, faster, and more flexible. You’ll also improve your coordination, balance, and stamina. THIS IS NOT just a simple aerobics class where you kick the air. We use bags, jump ropes, and all the other equipment the professionals use to give you the best workout of your life. And by the way, you don’t have to spar to get a great workout. If you don’t want to be hit you never will be.

LEARN FROM AN EXPERT! The kickboxing program at South Austin Gym is designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced participants. We have 10 levels that start with the basics. The first thing we’ll teach you is how to stand and how to move. We guarantee you’ll leave the gym with better balance after your first day! In addition, Head Trainer and Owner Randy Palmer teaches the majority of the classes. Randy is a competing professional kickboxer and a former World Champion.

Your instructor, Matt Thompson, is a professional fighter and the current Renegades Heavyweight Champion. He has extensive experience in MMA, boxing, and kickboxing. Originally from Bourne, Massachusetts, Matt moved to Texas for a career in professional wrestling. Searching for new challenges, his training evolved from wrestling to boxing and then to MMA. He turned professional in November of 2005.
